AZZURRA is the project of Azzurra Traficante, an artist from Basilicata (Italy) who delicately blends emotional electronics and dark pop with a hypnotic voice, creating an intense, unique and deeply evocative sonic imagery. She is based in Berlin, where she released the single Before Your Lies and her debut EP Where Are We Going under the artistic direction of producer and guitarist Federico Ferrandina, attracting the attention of several international music blogs. In 2019, she wrote the anthem for World Environment Day, We Are Walking On, performing in Vienna and Sarajevo for the United Nations alongside Ferrandina and Sadaharu Yagi, a multiple Grammy Award–winning producer. In 2020, she released her debut album Underlight with French label Another Music Records, surpassing 200,000 streams. In 2021, thanks to a scholarship from Musicboard Berlin, Azzurra released two Italian-language singles and music videos (Controalisei and Sapessi). Through her mother tongue, she weaves a connection between nature and reality, revealing a search for authenticity and simplicity.
